Batman Manga, Animation Creators Interviewed

Publishers Week magazine's PW Comics Week has posted an interview with Togari manga creator Yoshinori Natsume about his Batman: Death Mask comic mini-series (pictured at right). Natsume discuses Japan's unique standing in the Batman mythos and Batman's unique standing in the Japanese fandom's consciousness. He also described how he got involved in the project and a childhood incident that presaged his involvement. Activeanime.com continues its series of Batman: Gotham Knight interviews by talking with Kevin Conroy (the voice of the Japanese animated video's title character), Greg Rucka (writer), and Gregory Noveck (DC Comics' Senior Vice President, Creative Affairs).
