Lolita and Maid Fashion Day at NYC Kinokuniya on June 7

The Kinokuniya Books branch in New York City is hosting a Lolita and Maid Fashion Day event on June 7. The event will feature a tea party with themed sweets at the store's second-floor Café Zaiya, discussions of the two fashion trends and the Akiba-kei music scene, a reading from Aaliyah's Maid Machinegun novel (pictured at right), a Kamikaze Girls film screening, store discounts, and free gifts and prizes. Del Rey Manga, Samurai Beat Radio, and Viz Pictures are sponsoring the event.
