USA Today Booklist, April 28–May 4
posted on by Mikhail Koulikov
Two volumes of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga (Viz Media) were represented on USA Today's list of America's top 150 best-selling books for the week of April 28 to May 4. Volume 29, which officially shipped to stores on May 6, immediately jumped to the #57 spot on the list. The new volume's popularity may also have helped the sales figures for the previous volume. Volume 28 had dropped off the list in the previous week, but has since climbed back up to #139. Its nine weeks as a best-seller are the second-highest of any Naruto book, after Volume 10's ten weeks. Volume 28 had also achieved the highest position on the list ever held by a Naruto volume (#17), and held the second-highest rank of any manga to be listed.
Update: Warriors Return, Dan Jolley and James Barry's third graphic novel spinoff from Erin Hunter's Warriors novels, dropped off the chart after entering at #113 the previous week.
