Manga Volumes Place on Amazon Japan's 2007 Top-10 List

Nodame Cantabile, Moyashimon among Internet bookseller's most popular titles
Manga accounted for three of the top 10 most popular books sold in 2007 on the Japanese section of the online book retailer Amazon. Volume 17 of Tomoko Ninomiya's Nodame Cantabile was Amazon.jp's fifth best-selling book for the year. Volume 18 of this music-school manga was 10th. In between them, in the NUMBER 8 spot, was volume 6 of Masayuki Ishikawa's Moyashimon agricultural comedy manga. The top-selling books of the year in Japan were Yukuko Tanaka's Face Massage and Micaco's Inspiring Exercise health guides. The seven and final volume of the Harry Potter fantasy novel series topped the lists in the United Kingdom, the United States, France, and Germany, but only rose to #3 in Japan.
