Girls Bravo's Kaneda Starts Death/Communication Manga (Updated)
posted on by Egan Loo
Mario Kaneda, the creator of the Girls Bravo manga and anime, will launch a new manga that is tentatively titled Death/Communication in the May issue (on sale on March 26) of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine. The announcement was made in the current April issue (pictured at right), which was released on February 26. The same magazine also serialized Kaneda's Girls Bravo romantic comedy manga from 2000 to 2005, and AIC Spirits adapted it into a 24-episode anime series that ran in 2004 and 2005. Tokyopop has released nine of the 10 compiled manga volumes in North America, and Geneon Entertainment (USA) released the anime version.
Monthly Shōnen Ace's May issue will also mark the beginning of the Japanese school year with a bonus Eva pencase illustrated by Neon Genesis Evangelion manga creator and character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. The issue will have a cover illustration from Osamu Takahashi's game-based Neon Genesis Evangelion: Ikari Shinji Ikusei Keikaku manga.
