DrMaster to Release Kage kara Mamoru! Manga in English

The MangaCast blog notes that the American publisher DrMaster is listing Sai Madara's manga adaptation of Taro Achi's Kage kara Mamoru! light novels on retail sites. The listings give the manga the English title of Mamoru the Shadow Protector. The story centers on Mamoru, a nerdy-looking boy who is actually a ninja. For four centuries, his clan has protected the Konnyaku family — which happens to include his next-door neighbors' daughter, his childhood friend Yuna.
Seven Seas Entertainment announced at Anime Expo 2007 that it would release the original light novel version. Media Factory has published 10 volumes of the ongoing light novel version and three volumes of the ongoing manga in Japan so far. (The company's Comic Flapper and Monthly Comic Alive magazines have been serializing the manga.) The light novels also spawned an 12-episode television anime adaptation in 2006, although no company has announced an English-language license for the anime yet.
