Eyeshield 21's Murata to Do 1-Shot Window Washer Manga (Updated)
posted on by Egan Loo
Yūsuke Murata, the artist for the ongoing Eyeshield 21 football manga, will draw a one-shot manga called Mado-Fuki Paruku (Window Washer Paruku) in the April issue (on sale on March 4) of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine. Viz Media has been translating both the Eyeshield 21 manga and anime for North America. Any speculation that the new window-washer manga is inspired by Ultimate Mop Daisuke DX remains unfounded.
The same issue will also feature World 4U, another one-shot manga by P2! - Let's Play Pingpong! creator Tatsuma Ejiri. This April issue will be the fifth consecutive issue since Jump Square's November premiere to publish one-shot manga by established creators. Previous one-shot manga have included 13 by Gintama artist Hideaki Sorachi and Hello Baby by Masanori Morita (Rokudenashi Blues) and Takeshi Obata (Hikaru no Go, Death Note).

Update: Andrew Cunningham points out that the upcoming World 4U one-shot manga is the latest in a string of standalone World 4U stories from Ejiri.
