Love*Com's Aya Nakahara to Launch Nanacorobin Manga
posted on by Egan Loo
Aya Nakahara, the creator of the Lovely Complex, Hanada, and Love! Love! Love! manga, will launch a new shōjo manga called Nanacorobin in the March issue (on sale on February 13) of Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine. The announcement was made in the February issue, which was released on January 13. The name of the manga is a play on the heroine's name, Nanako, and the first part of a Japanese saying: "nana korobi, ya oki" (if you fall down seven times, get up eight times.) Nanako is an irrepressible girl who faces her match, in more ways than one, in a boy named Konatsu.
Nakahara has created half a dozen manga series in Japan. Viz Media has been releasing her most popular manga to date — Lovely Complex — in North America, and Viz Pictures will release the live-action film adaptation of this manga on North American DVD in February.
