Appleseed Sequel to Premiere at L.A.'s Jules Verne Fest
posted on by Egan Loo
The Jules Verne Adventures Film Festival will premiere Shinji Aramaki's Appleseed: Ex Machina film on December 15, the last day of the festival's Los Angeles event. The French film festival has been held in Paris, France for 15 years, but this is the first year that the organizers have branched out to California for a separate, standalone North American event.
The future science-fiction action film will be screened at the Los Angeles Theatre at 2:00 p.m. in high-definition. A team of creators will present the film at the screening. Since that Saturday will be the closing night of the event, the same theatre will also host the Jules Verne Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony for former Marvel Comics chairman Stan Lee later that afternoon. In the evening, the theatre will host the cast and creators of the American television series Heroes.
