Minneapolis College Holds Annual Manga/Anime Workshop

The Minneapolis College of Art and Design is holding its annual Schoolgirls and Mobilesuits manga and anime workshop from September 28 to September 30. The workshop was first held in 2001. This year's speakers and guests include voice actor Crispin Freeman, Indiana University assistant professor of fashion design and theory Theresa Winge, longtime anime lecturer and writer Marc Hairston, Tokyopop director of new product development Jeremy Ross, comic creator Tania del Rio, and The Anime Encyclopedia co-author Helen McCarthy. The college recently hosted the "Shōjo Manga! Girl Power!" traveling exhibition from May to June.
