Follow-up: Idol thanks fans, Anime Expo staff; apologizes for cancelling autograph session
Japanese idol singer and "Queen of Akihabara" Halko Momoi, who appeared at Anime Expo earlier this month in Long Beach, California, has sent a letter to North American fans and the Anime Expo staff via her publicist. The original letter, along with an English translation, has been posted here on the Anime Expo website. In the letter, Momoi apologizes for cancelling the autograph session that was scheduled before the concert and extends special thanks to the Anime Expo staff.
While she was in Long Beach at the convention, Momoi posted a long list of complaints about Anime Expo and the mistreatment of her and her fans on her blog. The complaints, which sparked a strong reaction from Momoi fans around the world, were later removed from the blog. After her concert at Anime Expo on Monday, July 2, Momoi made a more positive post to her blog that thanked the fans and Anime Expo staff for a successful concert.
