Japanese Comic Ranking, June 12–June 18
posted on by Egan Loo
Not only does Nodame Cantabile lead the animation DVD chart this week, but its original manga's volume 18 also leads the comic ranking chart. Even the limited edition of that volume, with its higher price and Puririn mascot figurine, placed #8. Clamp's Tsubasa only reached #3 with volume 19, but the much anticipated Tsubasa manga/DVD packs arrive later this year. Despite all the new Kodansha volumes, Naruto and Bleach stayed in the top ten for a third week. While Slam Dunk is a distant memory, basketball manga is still going strong with both Ahiru no Sora and Dear Boys Act II in the top ten.
