Anime to be helmed by J.C. Staff, Honey and Clover director Kasai
According to the next issue of the manga magazine Young Animal, the PlayStation 2 video game KimiKiss (Kissing You) will become the next dating simulation game to spawn a television anime adaptation. Officially, the anime will be called Kimikiss pure rouge. The forthcoming series will be produced by J.C. Staff and directed by Kenichi Kasai, whose directorial accomplishments include Nodame Cantabile and Honey and Clover.
The original game was released by game developer Enterbrain last summer. Radio drama CDs and character goods soon followed, and a manga adaptation of the story is being serialized in Young Animal. Most of the voice talent from the original game will be reprising their roles for the anime. More information about the project will be revealed on July 29 at a promotional event in Tokyo.
