Japanese Teen Stabs Guard to Steal…Used Manga
posted on by Egan Loo
Asahi Shimbun reports that a male fled a used-goods store in Japan's Kyoto prefecture after shoplifting 10 volumes of manga worth about 6,000 yen (US$50) on the night of April 27. When a store guard followed in pursuit, the male stabbed the guard in the left arm with a knife blade about nine centimeters (four inches) long. Authorities eventually arrested an 18-year-old pachinko game parlor worker and charged him with armed robbery. The guard's wound will reportedly take one week to heal.
