Speed Racer Production to Begin in May

At Studio Babelsberg in Germany
Production on the Wachowski brothers' live action Speed Racer film will begin this May at Babelsberg Studios in Germany, according to an IGN report citing The Hollywood Reporter.
The film will be produced by Joel Silver and Vince Vaughn, the latter of whom is also slated to play Racer X. In addition to Speed Racer, Babelsberg Studios is currently filming The Bourne Ultimatum and Flammen of Citronen.
Speed Racer will be released May 23, 2008, opposite Indiana Jones IV.
