Movie Based on Kazuo Umezu Manga

God's Left Hand, Devil's Right Hand Coming in 2006
Kazuo Umezu's Kami no Hidarite Akuma no Migite (God's Left Hand, Devil's Right Hand) is being adapted into a live-action horror movie directed by Shûsuke Kaneko and staring Asuka Shibuya, Tsubasa Kobayashi and Ai Maeda. The screenplay for the movie was written by Yoshinori Matsugae. Toshiba plans to release the movie in the summer of 2006.
Umezu's Scary Books and Museum of Terror were recently licensed by Dark Horse. Orochi, released by Viz in 2002, was Umezu's English language debut
Born in 1936, Umezu is considered by many as Japan's greatest horror manga-ka, so much so that one of Japan's most prestigious awards for horror manga, the Kazuo Umezu award, is named after him.
