Bandai Japan has issued an official press release regarding Gundam Seed Destiny.
The press release sets out the Bandai Group's plans for Gundam Seed Destiny, however it does not discuss the anime itself. While Bandai Visual will distribute the DVDs and VHS (animation produced by Sunrise), other divisions will create plastic model kits, games, action figures, candies, cards, clothing accessories, stationary, cellphone software and more.
The Press release then goes on to list various achievements of Gundam Seed and Gundam in general.
To date, there have been over 10 million plastic Gundam Seed models sold worldwide (primarily in Japan), and in the first 3 months of 2004, the Bandai Group's total Gundam-related sales (international) amounted to 54.2 Billion yen (US$499 million).
The official Gundam Seed Destiny website will be located at gundam-seed-d.net, however the domain currently forwards to Sunrise's main website.
