Adult Swim apologizes and reschedules episode
Kim Manning, programming director for Adult Swim, issued a public apology earlier today for yesterday's programming change that resulted in the scheduled broadcast of Big O episode 26, the final episode of Big O Season 2, being replaced by episode 20.
The apology, directed at fans of Big O, explained that the programming change was a mistake and not an intentional prank. As the mistake occurred during Adult Swim's simultaneous live Webcam Halloween party many believed that the programming change was another example of the Adult Swim group's very visible sense of humour. During the 12 hours following the error, fans of the show flooded the Adult Swim message boards with complaints, with 3 times as many posts for a normal 12-hour period.
Big O episode 26, "The Show Must Go On," has been re-scheduled for Sunday November 2nd at 11 p.m., displacing the premiere of Family Guy's "Once Upon a Weinstein" episode. Family Guy has been moved to the same time block the following Sunday.
