Pokémon TV show finds new home
posted on
The highly popular Americanized anime Pokémon, based on the Nintendo Gameboy game, will find its way to the WB network's kids block, replacing its previously held syndicated status. Both the Hollywood Reporter and Daily Variety report that Kids WB has obtained exclusive distribution of the TV series for the fall '99 season, and has ordered 12 additional episodes, bringing the total number of episodes to 52. The show will run daily starting next month on the WB, and will end its syndication in the fall, to be seen only on WB networks.
