Digimon Cast Join 1st Official Bus Tour with BBQ, Talk Shows, More

The 20th anniversary of the Digimon franchise will include a "summer camp" event that includes a bus tour, a barbecue, "bond deepening" tasks, and a stage show with the series' staff and cast.
The "Digimon 20th Anniversary Official Tour ~Our Summer Camp~" bus tour will take 200 people from Shinjuku, Tokyo to the Lake Sagami Pleasure Forest amusement park in Sagamihara, Kanagawa for a "challenge" event and barbecue lunch at Lake Sagami.
The bond deepening challenge event likely connects to the title of the upcoming Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna film ("kizuna" means "bond") set to open in Japan on on February 21, 2020.
After the meal, participants will head to a stage event with voice actresses Chika Sakamoto (Agumon) and Mayumi Yamaguchi (Gabumon), Digimon character designer Kenji Watanabe, and series producer Hiromi Seki. Voice actor Volcano Ōta will host the stage event.
Watanabe has provided illustrations for exclusive goods that will be sold on the tour.
Tour tickets cost 29,800 yen (US$275). Prospective participants can enter a lottery to purchase a ticket on the tour's official website beginning on August 5. The tour itself will depart on November 3 and return the same day.
