Sanrio's Cinnamoroll Appears as Contestant in Junon Superboy Contest

In a world first for Sanrio, one of its mascot characters, who goes by the name of Cinnamoroll, entered the Junon Superboy Contest held on Sunday. On Monday, Sanrio announced that Cinnamoroll had progressed to the "Best 100" in the contest.
Cinnamoroll managed to impress the judges by playing ping pong with his large ears. Cinnamoroll is also a known hit with the ladies, and was the top-ranked Sanrio character in the official Sanrio Character Ranking in 2017 and 2018.
Cinnamoroll left the following comment in Sanrio's press release: "My friend mocha applied for me to enter, and I got chosen as one of the Best 100 in the 32nd Junon Superboy Contest! I'm now aiming for the Grand Prix, so please cheer for me!"
The final selection of the 32nd Junon Superboy Contest will take place on November 24. Cinnamoroll's first livestream on the video streaming service SHOWROOM took place on Thursday.
