Hypnosis Mic Voice Actor Rap Project's 2nd Live Event Rocks the House

The voice actor rap battle project Hypnosis Mic has come a long way from performing in the mall just one year ago. The smaller venue and performance hiccups were streamlined, CDs and merchandise debuted, and now the crew is even getting its own smartphone game. The rapping group's popularity has skyrocketed and has amassed 300,000 followers on Twitter.
Members of the project's four groups decided to celebrate with a video of the second live performance in Shinagawa, Tokyo on August 26. The video of the performance just went live on YouTube on Monday. Nine of Hypnosis Mic's 12 voice actors turned rappers are seen pumping up the enthusiastic crowd with the opening track "Hypnosis Microphone - Division Battle Anthem-."
The crowd is holding colored lights based on which division they support: red for Buster Bros, blue for Mad Trigger Crew, yellow for Fling Posse, and grey for Matenrō.
Hypnosis Mic consists of the Ikebukuro Division Buster Bros (Subaru Kimura, Haruki Ishiya, Kōhei Amasaki), Yokohama Division Mad Trigger Crew (Shintarō Asanuma, Shin'ichirō Kamio, Wataru Komada), Shinjuku Division Matenrō (Shō Hayami, Ryūichi Kijima, Kent Itō), and Shibuya Division Fling Posse (Yusuke Shirai, Sōma Saitō, Yukihiro Nozuyama).
The project's third live event will be held at Odaiba's Zepp DiverCity on November 17. A limited-time shop at the Ikebukuro Marui department store is selling Hypnosis Mic goods. Fittingly, the items are Halloween themed.
