Manga Creator, Illustrator Hisashi Eguchi Draws RYUTist Group's Record Jacket

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Manga creator and illustrator Hisashi Eguchi (Stop!! Hibari-kun!, The Kotobuki Goro Show) contributed the jacket illustration for the new split single of idol group RYUTist and musical group so nice with Kunio Muramatsu. The split single, titled "Nichiyōbi no Summer Train" (Sunday's Summer Train), shipped as a seven-inch record on Saturday.

The "Nichiyōbi no Summer Train" song originally shipped with RYUTist's second album Nihonkai Yūhi LINE (Sea of Japan Setting Sun LINE) in August 2016. Katsuyuki Kamakura composed the song. For the split single, Kamakura's band so nice recorded their own version of the song with Muramatsu on guitar. Sales of the record began at RYUTist's "RYUTist Home Live ~7th Anniversary Live~" concert at Niigata Lots on Saturday.

Eguchi also recently lent his talents for an illustration for the musical group Lyrical School's CD that shipped in June. Last year, Eguchi contributed shirt designs for Niigata-based clothing brand G.F.G.S.
