Book Teaches Logical Thinking Through Detective Conan

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Readers of Japanese who want to improve their logic techniques can now do so with the help of a famous detective: Conan Edogawa. Kanki Publishing will release the Meitantei Conan ni Manabu Logical Thinking no Chōkihon (Learning Through Detective Conan: Super Foundation of Logical Thinking) book on June 18. The book will use Detective Conan to teach readers logical thinking.

Drone Pilot Agency representative director and MBA manga analyst Tsuyoshi Ueno as well as Globis University Graduate School of Management's Globis MBA Manga Research Society contributed to the book. The book reveals a logical way of thinking through five steps with emphasis on how to use those skills for business. The book uses examples from Conan's cases to demonstrate reasoning and logic techniques.

The franchise's most recent anime film, Detective Conan: Zero's Executioner, opened in Japan on April 13. The film opened at #1 at the box office and finally fell to #3 in its eighth week.
