Talk to Doraemon With Special Clova Smart Speaker

Fans who want a chance to talk with Doraemon himself are in luck. The new Doraemon model of the Clova Friends mini smart speaker went on sale in Japan on Friday.
Similar to Amazon's Alexa, Clova is LINE's AI assistant. In addition the normal functionality of a Clova Friends device, the speaker has a "Doraemoon Talk" feature. For example, if someone tells the speaker "It's hot," the speaker can ask if the person wants some Eskimo Extract, which gives the feeling that the temperature is 3 degrees Celsius (about 37 degrees Fahrenheit). People can also make requests such as "sing a song" or "say a tongue twister." In conversation, Doraemon can can bring up 51 of his gadgets, and he will also react to keywords such as "dorayaki" (Doraemon's favorite snack) and "Nezumi" (mouse). The developer plans to offer software updates with additional content after the release.
The smart speaker costs 5,400 yen (about US$50). Fujiko F. Fujio Museum and Rakuten Books are offering are offering a removable outfit inspired by Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Takarajima, this year's anime film for the franchise. The set, which is limited to 200 units, costs 19,872 yen (about US$183).
