The Shiraito Shuzō company has been partnering with anime for collaborations since at least 2013. Now the sake brewery is teaming up with Tiger & Bunny to offer alcohol inspired by the anime's title characters.

Kotetsu T. Kaburagi (Wild Tiger) is inspiring the "Kotetsu" Japanese rice wine with a refreshing dry taste. On the other hand, Barnaby Brooks Jr. (Bunny) is inspiring the "Usagi" (Rabbit) plum wine with the sweetness of fruit and honey, followed by a bitter aftertaste. Both wines will be available individually or as a pair in special Tiger & Bunny boxes.

Shiraito Shuzō's booth at the AnimeJapan event will offer advance sales of the set of both types of sake on March 24-25, and regular sales of all the items will begin on the company's website on April 1. The set of one "Kotetsu" and one "Usagi" wine will cost 5,400 yen (about US$51), and each individual variety will cost 3,500 yen (about US$33).

Sunrise's original anime franchise is getting a new anime series project. Both Keiichi Satō, the director of the original Tiger & Bunny television anime, and Yoshitomo Yonetani, director of the Tiger & Bunny anime films, confirmed that they are not working on the series.
