Kemono Friends' Former Studio Offers Free Training for Aspiring Voice Actors

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Yaoyorozu, the former studio of the Kemono Friends anime, will offer free courses to aspiring voice actors. The studio is planning its next series Kemurikusa so perhaps some of its inaugural voice actress students could have a shot at starring in the show?

The Yaoyorozu Voice Lab (or Voice Lab for short) will host a an audition for high school and college students with sound director Yukio Nagasaki (Love Live! Sunshine!!, PriPara, Land of the Lustrous) starting in April. Individuals that pass the audition will be invited to join a training course that includes both basic and advanced classes, so anyone can participate regardless of experience level. Nagasaki will directly oversee the participants and recommend those with the most potential.

The students recognized by Nagasaki will have their tuition waived and recommended to the agency S-tar 7. The special audition is open to both men and women of high school and college age. Interested talent should fill out the form to apply up until March 15. The audition itself is completely free, excluding personal transportation costs.

Applicants will be notified on March 19 followed by interviews from March 20-27. Those that pass the interview process will be invited back for a final try out on March 28-31. The winners will then receive free training with Nagasaki at Yaoyorozu Voice Lab.
