7-Eleven Make-Up Boys Will Help You Look Your Best

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

7-Eleven convenience stores are more closely associated with Slurpees than cosmetics in the States, but over in Japan they are even more ubiquitous and sell everything from hot meals to anime lottery prizes. That includes a make-up line, called ParaDo and the brand is fronted by three handsome anime guys, each serving as the face of one cosmetic item.

Kishio Taniyama voices Brow (which can also be read as "blow" but let's not), the mascot of ParaDo's eyebrow pencil.

Hiro Shimono voices Foun, the mascot for the brand's foundation.

Shōta Aoi voices Yuvi, the mascot for the brand's UV Base CC cream.

Customers can win a set of signed make-up items by following the official ParaDo Twitter account and retweeting its posts. The more followers the account gets, the more secret character voice clips will be added to the official website.

All three characters were designed by Temari Matsumoto, the artist of Kyo Kara Maoh!

The Clear Last make-up brand collaborated with make-up artists to create five handsome mascot boys to promote its products just last month. Voice actor Daisuke Namikawa took on all five character roles for that campaign. The Matsumoto Kiyoshi Company, the largest drugstore chain in Tokyo, had a similar campaign in 2014 where Tomokazu Sugita voiced seven male "skin specialist" characters to sell beauty products.
