Slam Dunk, Riki-Oh, Captain Tsubasa Creators Draw for Paralympic Mook

Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine and the Sportiva website are jointly editing the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Jump vol.1 ~Paralympic Jump vol.1~ mook (magazine-style book), which will ship on November 29. Several sports manga creators are contributing to the mook.
The mook focuses on Paralympic sports such as wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis that will appear at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. Slam Dunk, Real, and Buzzer Beater basketball manga creator Takehiko Inoue is illustrating the cover. Riki-Oh and Tough martial arts manga creator Tetsuya Saruwatari is writing the tentatively titled "Tough Bangai-hen ~Yawa no Shō~" manga inspired by real-world visually disabled Paralympic judo practitioner Satoshi Fujimoto. Orange Star volleyball manga creator Masahiko Aoki is writing the tentatively titled "Kamiji! ~Kamiji Yui Story~" manga about wheelchair tennis player Yui Kamiji.
Captain Tsubasa soccer manga creator Youichi Takahashi will also have a feature in the book about blind soccer. In addition, the mook will include parathlete gravure photos and interviews.
Inoue's Real manga focuses on wheelchair basketball, and he interviewed Paralympic basketball player Shingo Fujii in 2008.
