The new Evangelion film is finally underway and there's no shortage of tie-in goods to keep fans busy until it's released. Another activity that fans can participate in during the long wait is the "Evangelion Exhibition," coming to Tohoku region for the very first time. It will open on September 16 at the Mori Event Hall in Miyagi Prefecture.
The event is under complete supervision by series director Hideaki Anno and animation production Studio Khara. It includes 300 sketches and production materials from the new Evangelion film series and the accompanying manga by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. The same exhibition has toured the country but this marks its first time stopping in Tohoku.
Visitors can buy unique character goods, including Miyagi Prefecture mascot Musubimaru in Eva Unit 01-colored armor wielding the Lance of Longinus and Eva's Yuru-shito mascot in Masamune Date's iconic helm.
