Idol Time PriPara's Food-Loving Yui Becomes Rice Ambassador

Voice actress Kana Hanazawa appeared as a real-world poster girl for Zen-Noh, Japan's National Federation of Agricultural Co-operative Associations, in 2014. Now Zen-Noh is working with a 2D PR representative. The federation announced at Tokyo Toy Show on Friday that Idol Time PriPara anime protagonist Yui Yumekawa is its new "Rice Support Ambassador."
In the anime, Yui is a sixth grader with a penchant for dreaming who likes to eat and loves rice. Zen-Noh hopes to use the collaboration to promote rice consumption and educate people about agricultural production of food. Zen-Noh will participate in children's events as part of the campaign.
In addition, the PriPara franchise announced that the Prism Stone PriPara Shop will open in Tokyo Station's Tokyo Character Street in July. The store will sell franchise merchandise and feature a life-size statue of LaLa.
The Idol Time PriPara television anime premiered on April 4.
Zen-Noh released two series of animated "Zeushi-kun" character ads starring Hanazawa to promote the sale of domestic meats in 2014.
