American vocalist Diana Garnet, who sang the theme song for the anime Tantei Team KZ Jiken Note and an ending theme for Naruto Shippūden, voiced her first Japanese role in the audio drama "Gijinka de Manabo! IT Infura no Shikumi" (Learn via Anthropomorphization! IT Infrastructure Systems).

The drama is part of the project IT Gijinka Keikaku (IT Anthropomorphization Project), which is designed to teach users about information technology terms by anthropomorphizing them as moe anime girls. Garnet will be playing the character DBMS (Database Management System).

Garnet has posted about the project on her Facebook page, saying, "It's the first time I've voiced a character in Japanese so I'm really excited! My character, DBMS, is really cute and fun as well so I'm very thankful I was able to be a part of the drama!...If you'd like to study about IT, this is for sure the cutest way to do it! Please check it out."

Other cast members include Rika Tachibana (The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Kemono Friends) as CPU (Central Processing Unit), and Emi Hirayama (Chobitto-Zukan (TV), Nukko.) as TCP (Transmission Control Protocol). More information can be found on the audio drama project webpage.

The original project was the brainchild of Chūō University associate professor Yūshi Okajima and manga creator 108-gō. It has inspired study guides such as Gijinka de Manabo! Network no Shikumi (Learn via Anthropomorphization! Network Systems) and a comic called Gijinka de Manabo! Omakase! Systers (Learn via Anthropomorphization! Leave It to Us! Systers) in Kadokawa's Nyantype magazine.

The project is also getting an anime adaptation starring Ai Kakuma as UDP (User Datagram Protocol), Satomi Arai as IP (Internet Protocol), and Ayane Sakura as Ether (Ethernet).
