Kuroko's Basketball Player Kagami Photographed With NBA Champion Ron Harper
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
A fictional basketball player's dream came true last weekend when he got to take a picture with an "NBA legend." The official Twitter account for the Kuroko's Basketball anime posted a picture on Monday of retired professional basketball player Ron Harper with a towel featuring Taiga Kagami wearing a Chicago Bulls jersey. The photo was taken at the official NBA Fan Zone Tokyo event on Sunday.
Kagami debuted in the Bulls' #010 jersey in February as part of a collaboration between the Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game anime film and the NBA. The collaboration unveiled a total of eight anime characters in NBA uniforms: Kagami, Shintarō Midorima, Seijūrō Akashi, Tetsuya Kuroko, Ryōta Kise, Atsushi Murasakibara, Daiki Aomine, and Tatsuya Himuro.
Harper is a five-time NBA champion. He played for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 1986 to 1989, Los Angeles Clippers from 1989 to 1994, Chicago Bulls from 1994 to 1999, and Los Angeles Lakers from 1999 to 2001.
Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game, the anime film adaptation of Tadatoshi Fujimaki's Kuroko no Basuke Extra Game sequel manga, will open in Japan on March 18.
