Shōnen Jump Celebrates 50 Years With Commemorative Events

Next year marks the 50th anniversary of Weekly Shonen Jump, Shueisha's male-targeted magazine known for serializing some of the industry's most popular manga series. The magazine currently serializes Gin Tama, My Hero Academia, Haikyu!!, One Piece, Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Hunter X Hunter, and Black Clover but some of its other popular works include Naruto, Shaman King, Assassination Classroom, Toriko, Bakuman., Death Note, Bleach, Slam Dunk, YuYu Hakusho, Dragon Ball, Fist of the North Star, Kimagure Orange Road, and the list goes on.
Shueisha is commemorating the magazine's 50 year anniversary with a series of commemorative events. The first "Weekly Shonen Jump Exhibition" will cover the magazine's launch and into the 1980s. The event will take place in Tokyo in July followed by the next two events in 2018. Further details including dates and locations will be announced on the events' official website.
