Watch Actor Junji Inagawa Freak Out While Playing Resident Evil 7

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Japanese actor Junji Inagawa is no stranger to ghost stories. English-speakers might know him best from an earlier role on Takeshi's Castle (Most Extreme Elimination Challenge) but he's more recently starred in the horror film Kataribe and appeared as the storyteller in the Junji Inagawa's Legends of Horror video series. PlayStation Japan decided to put Inagawa to the test by equipping the 69-year-old with a PlayStation VR headset and recording him as he plays through Resident Evil 7 and the game's horrific "Kitchen" demo.

Inagawa is understandably scared during the playthrough. He later comments that virtual reality is no easy matter, feeling more akin to being in an alternate dimension of unspeakable fear. Overall he was impressed with how realistic it felt.

Resident Evil 7 biohazard is slated for release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 24. The game will be fully compatible and playable on Sony's PlayStation VR headset, and it will support 4K on the PlayStation 4 Pro. The game arrives in Japan under the title Biohazard 7: resident evil on January 26.
