Crayon Shin-chan Marks 25th Anniversary With 'Ora wa Ninkimono' Music Video

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

TV Asahi began streaming an "Ora wa Ninkimono 25th Mix" music video on Friday to celebrate Crayon Shin-chan's 25th anniversary.

Musician Hyadain (also known as Ken'ichi Maeyamada) is performing his rearranged version of the anime's 1993-1995 opening theme song to celebrate the anime's 25th anniversary. Dancer Takahiro Ueno choreographed the dance in the video.

The city of Kasukabe, Saitama, which is the anime's setting, collaborated on the music video. The city's mayor Ryōzō Ishikawa, Tobu Railway Kasukabe Station's station master, and 300 children from Kasukabe Elementary School appear in the video.

Maeyamada's song is the theme song for the Amazon Japan original series Crayon Shin-chan: Alien vs. Shinnosuke. The series premiered on August 3.

The franchise's 25th anime film, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Shūrai! Uchūjin Shiriri (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Invasion! Alien Shiriri), will open in Japan on April 15.
