Hitch a Ride in Tokyo's Kinmoza! Anime-Themed Taxis

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Visitors to Tokushima, home of ufotable, had a chance to ride around in Fate/stay night taxis in 2014. Attendees at Comiket 90 visited different areas of the convention in a taxi featuring the character Puro-sei-chan this past August. The latest itasha taxis are ten Kin-iro Mosaic: Pretty Days vehicles that hit the streets of Tokyo on Monday.

Condor Taxi unveiled five different designs for the character-wrapped vehicles, and each design features on two taxis. The anime designs will appear on the cars for about half a year. People who ride the collaboration taxis receive the "Definitely Useful (?) Convenient 8-Language Conversation Sheet" as a present.

The wrapped taxis are offering charter plans for the Tokyo area. Riders who use the plan pay 4,650 yen (about US$43) for the first hour and 2,110 yen (US$20) for each half hour after that.

The Kin-iro Mosaic: Pretty Days special anime episode will screen in theaters across Japan on November 12. In the episode, the school festival is on the horizon and something is off with Shinobu. She says she's been very sleepy in the mornings lately, and it seems she has pushed herself too hard working on the scripts and costumes for their class play. Alice and Yōko, who are in another class, notice her circumstances.
