Things Get Intense in The Battle of Pokemon Go Fan Video

If you thought things were crazy when a Vaporeon caused an exodus of hundreds to take over Central Park, YouTube creator RATE VFX shows what happens when a wild Mew appears. The Pokémon Go inspired video blends the mobile game with a first-person shooter when player Rate's chances of catching a Mew are almost thwarted by Team Rocket.
A rail-gun toting Pikachu, Blastoise, and Voltorb help keep enemies at bay but the Mew also isn't what it appears to be.
RATE VFX has made similar videos recreating Monster Hunter and Metal Gear Solid. The game was recently parodied in a Maroon 5 music video. The mobile game's somewhat notorious glitches have inspired fan art while its popularity has caused governments from Japan to Norway.
