Pokémon Prism is Next Fan Game Set for Release
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Pokémon Prism is a fan-game that's a long time coming. Nsomniart and TPP Devs, as well as a staff of artists, musicians, developers, and designers have labored over the Pokémon Gold hack for eight years. The game serves as a sequel for Pokémon Brown, a 2004 Pokémon Red rom hack. In the fan game, the main character is the child of the Elite 4's Lance and ends up in the Naljo region after playing in their uncle's mine cart.
The game includes Pokémon Brown's additional Pokémon types: Gas, Wood, Wind, Abnormal, and Sound. It also includes Trainer customization and areas where the player will play as their Pokémon. While Pokémon Prism features an original story, the Pokémon in the game are from Nintendo's game releases, specifically Generations I-IV.
Twitch Plays Pokémon debuted the game on Sunday and it's expected to be able to download in December. However, previous fan games based on Nintendo properties, like Pokémon Uranium, Metroid II, and The Legend of Zelda have not ended well.
