Nodame Cantabile Actress Juri Ueno Marries Singer Shō Wada

Juri Ueno (Nodame in the live-action Nodame Cantabile) announced via fax on May 26 that she has married Shō Wada, singer and guitarist for the rock band TRICERATOPS. She is 30 years old and he is 40. Ueno was added to Wada's koseki (family registry) and will live with him, but the ceremony and reception haven't been held yet.

"For the two of us, it was very natural," they wrote. "While supporting each other, we'd like to move forward one step at a time." The couple began dating last autumn, when Ueno met Wada through a friend. She was a TRICERATOPS fan and attended a concert.

Wada's parents (seen above) are Makoto Wada, an illustrator and filmmaker (Kaitō Ruby), and Remi Hirano, a food writer and singer.
