30 Animators Recreate Super Smash Bros. Melee Opening Sequence

The folks at The Reanimation Station have recreated the opening sequence of Nintendo GameCube's crossover fighting game Super Smash Bros. Melee. A staff of 30 animators, each drawing a segment in their own unique style, contributed to this little bit of nostalgia. The project itself took over a year to complete.

The Reanimation Station is also tackling the original Power Ranger series. The group reanimated the first Pokémon television anime opening last year.
The Seven Star Re-Animate project is currently wrapping up its fan-animated English dub version of Dragon Ball episode eight, "The Kamehame Wave." Kaitlin Sullivan's popular "The Moon Animate, Make Up!" project premiered in 2014. Sullivan later produced the Bartkira mash-up trailer. A second "Moon Animate, Make Up!" project is currently in the works.
