Sailor Uniform Loungewear are for Women, Too

Men's sailor uniform loungewear offers "spring" line

Anime News Network's merchandise coverage sponsored by Tokyo Otaku Mode.

Having had success with its Bokusera line of girls' sailor uniform-inspired loungewear for men, BIBI LABS is now offering something similar in women's sizes. "For those women who want to wear the sailor uniform until they die," the website touts.

The line is simply called "Sailor Uniform Collection," or "SeraColle" for short. These cozy cover-ups look like regular cosplay, but they're actually one-piece dresses with no cinching in the middle. They are made of a cotton-polyester blend that should feel like a sweatsuit.

You can choose what kind of high school girl you would like to emulate:

A long-skirted sukeban (leader of delinquent girls) from the 70's and 80's?

A 90's girl with the short skirt and bunchy socks of the kogal fashion trend?

A 2000's-era high school girl with knee socks?

The sukeban style only comes in navy, but the other two styles are available in both white and navy. All styles retail for 8,000 yen (about US$72) and are machine-washable.

The men's sailor uniform loungewear isn't going anywhere—after all, it was sold-out two days after it went on sale. BIBI LAB even added a new "spring" line that replaces the fleece with the sweatsuit fabric like the women's version.

There's also sailor uniform loungewear out there for Sailor Moon fans.
