Pacific Rim Gets Fan-Created Anime Title Sequence

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Once upon a time, Guillermo del Toro's giant robots-fighting-monsters film Pacific Rim had a sequel, comic books, PlayStation 3 video game, and animated series in the works. Two of those came to fruition and the sequel, while put on the back burner a number of times, is now moving forward with Daredevil and Spartacus alum Steven DeKnight.

The animated series is still missing in action but the show was originally slated to coincide with the Pacific Rim 2 premiere, so it could still be on the horizon. Los Angeles-based freelance animator Jeremie Carreon created his own title sequence, taking inspiration from retro mecha anime, specifically Voltes V.
