Nintendo launched its 2DS a console, a spin on the 3DS without the 3D viewing capability, in North America in 2013. Strangely, the portable console has yet to be released in Japan but Nintendo recently revealed that not only will the 2DS make it's Japan debut, but it'll get four special versions.
On February 27, 2016, Nintendo will release four Pokémon 2DS color variants to celebrate the popular franchise's 20th anniversary. The consoles will come preloaded with original Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue versions, a 4GB memory card, an actual Town Map, stickers, a Mew download theme code, and an exchange ticket to receive Mew for 9,980 yen (US$83). A limited supply is available for pre-order via Amazon Japan, Pokémon Center stores, TOYS R US, TSUTAYA, and other retailers.
Nintendo previously released Pokémon X & Y and Yo-kai Watch 2DS bundles in North America and Europe.
