Gudetama Throws a Party, No Cats Allowed

Sanrio's dejected mascot Gudetama is throwing an eggcellent party Plan Check Kitchen + Bar in Los Angeles, but Sanrio's breadwinning Hello Kitty is not invited. The celebration kicks off on Friday at all three of Plan Check's locations.
A multi-course menu featuring egg-centric dishes costs US$39 and includes a crispy blanket egg, spicy pork belly sausage with a soy sauce egg, and miso aioli as the appetizer. This is followed by the main course: sunny-fried quail egg sliders, two types of cheese, ketchup leather, and hot sauce. The meal ends with chocolate custard pudding, an apricot thumbprint cookie and an orange-ginger egg cream soda for dessert. Gudetama stares back, disinterested, on top of the pudding and sliders.
A limited-edition Gudetama t-shirt is included in the meal.
The party runs until November 29. Plan Check Kitchen previously celebrated Hello Kitty's 40th anniversary with a cat-focused menu last year.
