High-Quality Fate/stay night Saber Dress and Armor Costs US$4,000

posted on by Eric Stimson

Fate/stay night's Saber's costume elegantly combines grace with combat utility, but it's complicated enough to dissuade most cosplayers. For those determined to pull it off, however, the Japanese cosplay provider Cospa has prepared the definitive Saber cosplay set.

The rubber band is looped around the buttons rather than fastened to them to make it difficult for the corset to lose its shape.

The shoulders are crafted separately from the sleeves to keep their distinctive shapes.

Small fasteners hidden out of sight in the front and back allow the armor (below) to be fastened.

The skirt is crafted as a single piece.

The gauntlets' fingers are segmented to allow for greater mobility.

The greaves are designed to be worn over boots.

The armor is composed of 100% polyurethane while the cloth is 100% polyester.

The costume is on display at the Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works exhibit in the Kobe Sanbō Hall until Sunday. Cospa's Akihabara store, COSPATIO, is taking preorders, with the costume set to go on sale in early December. It is made to order and will cost:

  • 86,000 yen ($700) for the dress
  • 170,000 yen ($1,384) for the armor
  • 130,000 yen ($1,059) for the gauntlets
  • 80,000 yen ($651) for the boots

This comes to a total of 503,280 yen including tax ($4,098.44).
