Original RX-78-2 Gundam and RX-77-2 Guncannon Get High Grade 'Revive' Kits

Gundam fans, get ready to kick it old school with Bandai's new "Revive" Gunpla series. First on deck is the HGUC 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam, which is set to be released this July, exactly 35 years after the release of the first Gunpla in July 1980. Since then, 34 million Gunpla have been sold.
The HGUC 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam REVIVE Ver. is made using current molding techniques, and offers better proportions and an improved range of motions over its original. It will be priced at 1,000 yen (about US$8.40).
In addition, Bandai will also be releasing HGUC 1/144 RX-77-2 Guncannon REVIVE Ver., with a release date set for June.
To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Gunpla, there will be a six-city Gundam EXPO Japan Tour 2015, each of which will unveil new entries to the HG REVIVE series.
