Pre-Orders Begin Soon for 2015 Snow Miku Figma and Nendoroid

posted on by Chris Nishijima
Snow Bell Snow Miku has arrived.

Wintertime means a great number of different things to people around the world. To the otaku community, one of those things is Snow Miku. Decided each year by popular vote, Snow Miku has become a heartwarming tradition during the coldest time of the year. And just as there's always a new Snow Miku, there's also new figures from Good Smile to go with it.

2015 is the year of Snow Miku Snow Bell, an adorable little sprite who hides beneath leaves and flowers. The theme for this year's Snow Miku contest was "Plant Life in Winter," which led to the creation of this lovely little belle designed by Taran, with rabbit sidekick Yukine designed by Hayuki.

Of course while Good Smile has always made a Nendoroid version of Snow Miku, in recent years each new Snow Miku has also gotten a figma version. Good Smile's Twitter pages in English and Japanese, run by Good Smile representatives Mamitan and https://Twitter.com/gsc_kahotan" target="_blank">Kahotan, have been posting up a storm as they have fun with their latest wintery friend, posing her in various different styles, and even having her make snow angels.

While Snow Miku will be making her official debut at the the Wonder Festival 2015 Winter, happening February 8, Good Smile has also announced that they will be holding a contest via their Mamitan and Maritan Twitter pages to give away some great figures from the festival, including a Snow Miku Snow Bell in both Nendoroid and figma forms. More details can be found on the official contest page.

Good Smile will be accepting orders for the two Snow Bell Snow Miku figures, both of which are set to be sold for 4,500 yen (about US $37.78) starting 4:00PM on February 8 JST until 9:00PM on February 16 JST through their official web shop. What do you think of this years Snow Miku Snow Bell version? Do you prefer the Nendoroid or figma style? Which Snow Miku has been your favorite over the years? Let us know in the comments section.
