posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Convenience store chain 7-Eleven announced on Tuesday that it will sell a one-of-a-kind Evangelion sports car designed with original art. The car, which is called, "7-Eleven Limited Mitsuoka Motors Evangelion Orochi," will be sold for 16 million yen (about US$138,140) in Japan.
A video showing the car is currently streaming:
The car, which uses the Mitsuoka Motors vehicle Orochi Gold Premium as a base, has an artistic design by Evangelion mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita. Applications to purchase the vehicle will be accepted at 7-Eleven stores across the country from November 14 to 30. In the case that multiple applicants appear, the buyer will be chosen by lottery. The day of delivery of the car is expected to be approximately five months after the contract of purchase is completed.
7-Eleven has collaborated multiple times with Evangelion in the past. This past August, the convenience store chain sold a US$16k giant Evangelion figure.
