7-Eleven's Giant Evangelion Figures Sell Out in 2 Minutes

Looks like fans hoping to get their hands on the six-foot-tall Evangelion figures will have to leave it up to luck. 7-Eleven was selling a limited quantity of 25 giant Evangelion figures, in either 7-Eleven colors or standard, for 1,700,000 yen (about US$16,657). Undaunted by the price tag, fans bought them out in less than two minutes.
Their mecha are expected to ship in about four months, in pieces. The delivery crew will construct the figure, given there's enough room to work in. One will also be on display from August 7-31 at the 7-Eleven in Tokyo's Asakusa Kaminarimon area.
The convenience store is also collaborating with Eva Racing and will have other limited goods for sale or in exchange for points, including Eva BearBrick figures, noodle bowls, stuffed Penpens, heroine figures, and more.
